Guisadong Monggo Recipe

I didn't go to work today because I had a really lower left side stomach ache all night and glad I felt better. I cook guisadong monggo with spinach and shrimp. As you know I love shrimp very much and I would like to try different recipe. I also fried smoke milk fish a partner of my monggo with white rice. I bought the smoke milk fish in asian supermarket and that smoke came from the Philippines. When I am cooking guisadong monggo. I always soak the monggo first before bring into boil in the big pot so it faster cooking.

Ingredients:

1 package monggo ( small size)
1 large tomato
1 meduim onion
1 clove garlic
salt
soy sauce
pepper
ginger root
1 package Spinach
20 pieces shrimps
pork belly
1 tablespoon oil

Procedure:
Boil the monggo in the big pot. Then slice all the ingredients and put aside. In big pan sautee the pork into sprinkle of salt until it turn into brown. Remove the pork and put aside, if too much oil in the pan remove some. Sautee garlic until brown and add ginger until a little brown and add onion follow by tomato. Once the ingredients already sautee add pork and shrimp. Stir it until mixed altogether then add pepper, soy sauce then poured into the big pot to mixed into the monggo. Bring it to boil for about 15 minutes. If the monggo is cook add spinach and turn off the fire after 1 minutes. Serve with white rice and any kind of fried fish.

Ang sarap ng Tinapa, fave ko yan. To answer Roselle's question, sa atin kasi sabi ng Catholic church not to eat meat on Fridays kaya isa yang Guinisang Monggo (without the pork) sa niluluto.
